Build & Learn, Inc. is a 501 (c) (3) Community Housing Development Organization established to assist eligible populations, such as veterans, to obtain affordable housing, skills for constructing affordable housing and skills for living as productive citizens in their respective communities.
Our purpose is to provide free job training for underprivileged men and women and for our students to become skilled technical tradesmen in the construction and maintenance industry.

Pre-Apprentice Job Training, Workshops, Veterans Support and Community Service
Participants are introduced to the Construction Core Curriculum courses that form the basis for all industry training. Strong emphasis is placed on basic entry level job skills such as punctuality, perseverance, positive attitude and work ethic. They include basic courses for all vocational education careers including citizenship and basic employability skills. Certificates are awarded upon completion of various levels. Build & Learn has trained and provided job placements for hundreds of our citizens.

With the help of Build and Learn Inc., Bottoms was the recipient of a new access ramp at the entrance to his Sunnyside home. The new addition will keep him independent and mobile for years to come as he begins to use his new motorized wheelchair.
